Divine Perspective

"Divine Perspective" is a 7'2" wide and 5'2" tall sculpture made by Hannah Clark of Temple, Texas.
Purpose is important to all of us, and for Hannah, it was a focus for this sculpture. In nature, every bee in a hive has a purpose. Every action each bee takes, every moment of their existence is in service of that purpose. In "Divine Perspective", the image of the bee is made up of over 130 individual tiles, each containing 37 small hexagons. Every small hexagon represents a moment in Hannah's life - some dark, some bright, some in-between. When you look at one hexagon, you can't see what purpose it serves. But when you step back and look at the whole picture, you can see how every moment has a purpose and is an important part of the grand design. The sculpture portrays the immeasurable importance of difficult moments in our lives, urging one to step back and reflect on their entire life from the perspective of Christ.
